No Handicap, No Spinnaker, No Worries.  First boat to finish wins!

Jan 1, 2007 (Titusville, FL)
Hamilton Sirls outlasted a pack of other sailboats in the Titusville Sailing Club sponsored “New Year’s Fun Race”.  The annual race was held on the Indian River adjacent to the Titusville Municipal Marina on Monday afternoon.  Hamilton's Ericsson 34 named “Adios” crossed the finish line ahead of all other local sailboats of varying sizes.  Hamilton's win was also made possible by his crew:  Ray Laguna, Doug Hamilton, Mike McClain
.

The festivities were topped off with a traditional meal:  Sloppy Joes and some other light snacks provided by long time Sailing Club members Norma Thomas and Doris Ruffe.

Some of the finest sailing conditions in Central Florida is experienced all-year-around in the Indian River of North and South Titusville (where the city is flanked by public boat ramps).  Many boats from the Titusville Marina joined in on this year's New Year's Fun Race.  The Titusville Sailing Club will host a dozen more races this year for local sailors.  The club promotes sailing through beginner and intermediate classes, and racing Regatta's.
