TSC & American Red Cross Basic Sailing Class

Our goal is provide low cost training classes and promote sailing in the Indian River. And have fun doing it.

The Titusville Sailing Club (TSC) offers two Basic Sailing Class sessions in the Spring and usually one in the fall.  Class is held on five consecutive Saturday mornings from 8:30AM to 12:30PM at the TSC clubhouse on Sand Point Park in Titusville, FL.  Classes are taught on Sunfish sailboats by American Red Cross, certified instructors.  Class size is limited to 16 students (two in a boat) so register early as the classes fill up quickly. Minimum age requirement is 16, but younger kids taking the class with a parent or adult will be considered based on body weight and maturity.  You will be sailing the first day!

Price/person/session:  $100

What you need to provide:  Personal Floatation Device (life jacket) and wear it at all times while on the water.  Wading shoes (old tennies or other closed-toe shoe will do.  No sandals.  An ability to swim at least 25 yards.

What you can get:  Certification.  Textbook:  "Start Sailing Right," official learn to sail book of US Sailing and the American Red Cross.
